High Point Treatment Center’s mission is to prevent and treat chemical dependency and provide therapeutic services for mental health issues. Our goal is to help an individual achieve personal change and accept responsibility toward an improved quality of life.

High Point Hospital is a 72-bed psychiatric hospital located in the center of Middleborough. The hospital serves adults and adolescents, (three adult units and one adolescent unit). In addition, an on-site Outpatient clinic is scheduled to open shortly. The hospital offers acute mental health services to stabilize patients experiencing an acute psychiatric episode or exacerbation of chronic conditions. Services include medication management, individual, group, and expressive therapies; family support, physician-led multi-disciplinary treatment team, and aftercare planning.

Patients receive treatment for their addiction and/or mental health issues in a peaceful setting. Services include Dual Diagnosis Unit, Detoxification Unit, and Clinical Stabilization Services at the Pathway Inn and Recovery Inn. Outpatient & Community Services are also available at this site.

Women's Addiction Treatment Center (WATC) is a Section 35 treatment facility, which is a staff-secured, but not locked, treatment program for women who have been civilly committed. Services include Detoxification Unit, Clinical Stabilization Services at Tranquility Inn, and Transitional Support Services at New Chapter. Administrative Services staff provides support to High Point’s continuum of care.

Men’s Addiction Treatment Center (MATC) is a Section 35 treatment facility, which is a staff-secured, but not locked, treatment program for men who have been civilly committed. Services include Detoxification Unit, Clinical Stabilization Services at Acceptance Inn, and Transitional Support Services at Beginnings. The CASTLE (Clean And Sober Teens Living Empowered) is a short-term stabilization program for ages 13-17 with a substance use disorder. Individualized care is provided by an interdisciplinary treatment team of professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, licensed social workers, and licensed mental health and substance abuse clinicians. An enhanced treatment plan is developed with the active participation of both patient and primary counselor. Family involvement and family sessions are encouraged as part of the patient’s Individualized Treatment Plan. Brockton Addiction Treatment Center (BATC) offers Detoxification Unit, Clinical Stabilization Services at Serenity Inn, and Outpatient Services for the Community. Individualized care is provided by an interdisciplinary treatment team of professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, licensed social workers, and licensed mental health and substance abuse clinicians. An enhanced treatment plan is developed with the active participation of both patient and primary counselor. Family involvement and family sessions are encourages as part of the patient’s individualized treatment plan.

Outpatient substance abuse and mental health services are located across Southeastern Massachusetts in Brockton, Middleborough, New Bedford, Plymouth, and Taunton. At most sites, services are provided during the day and throughout the evening. We offer varied individual, group, medication management, and family services to address diverse clinical needs.

An interdisciplinary team of professionals includes licensed social workers, mental health clinicians, Master's level clinicians, certified addictions clinicians, psychiatrists, and psychologists.

High Point providesChildren's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) at all outpatient sites. Mental health services for children, adolescents, families, and adults are offered in the home for clients who would benefit more from receiving counseling in their own environment. In addition, intensive home-based services for children and families suffering from complex mental health diagnoses are offered. The services are family-focused with the goal of preventing out of home placement of the children and improve family functioning as a unit. CBHI services include in-home therapy (IHT) and therapeutic mentoring (TM). IHT is an intensive family-focused outpatient service delivered by a team consisting of a Master’s level clinician and a paraprofessional. The team works with the family to create and implement a treatment plan. TM is a one to one service provided to children under age 21. A paraprofessional works with the youth on a skill set deficit such as anger management or poor social skills. The goal is to help youth improve these skills, so he/she can function better within home and community.

Our southeast area Community Support Program (CSP), provides case management for clients needing additional support to remain at home in their community.

The Brockton Mayor’s Opioid Overdose Prevention Coalition, (BMOOPC), in collaboration with High Point, provides education, support, and referrals to opiate users, their families, and the City of Brockton as a whole. The program’s primary objective is to prevent fatal overdoses from opiate use.

Substance Abuse Prevention Collaborative (SAPC), The SAPC initiative is part of a comprehensive approach to substance misuse and abuse prevention in massachusetts, which includes the Massachusetts Opioid Abuse Prevention Collaborative (MOAPC) grant program and SAMHSA’s Partnerships for Success II (PFS II) and PFS 2015 grant programs. All initiatives implement evidence-based environmental strategies that can be sustained through local policy, practice, and systems changes to reduce substance misuse and abuse within Massachusetts communities and to increase both the number and the capacity of municipalities across the Commonwealth to address these issues. In implementing the SAPC grant, funded municipalities must work in partnership with neighboring municipalities, thereby forming a cluster. This cluster model is intended to increase the capacity of grantees to prevent and reduce underage drinking and other drug use among their combined populations

While most residential services are provided through our affiliate, SEMCOA, Inc., High Point Treatment Center also offers residential services. Reflections-Court Alternative Program (CAP) is a DPH-licensed therapeutic jail diversion program for clients facing incarceration. Servicing both men and women, the program includes a 90-day residential program, followed by 9 months of community-based case management. Referrals are usually made by Probation Officers, defense attorneys, and District Attorneys' offices. For more information about the program, please click on FAQ. Our Transitional Support Services program at 44 Kilburn Street bridges the gap between detoxification and stepdown services to residential aftercare.
