Dr. Medlin is presently the Program Director for the Institute of Life and Health located in Upper Marlboro and at the University of Maryland. Dr. Medlin provides a full round of services for the clinic including nutritional and dietary protocols for chronic illnesses, family crisis counseling and intervention, anger management, and alcohol and drug abuse counseling and therapy.

The Institute of Life and Health is a multifaceted organization approved by the A.C.A.A. for its comprehensive, out-patient alcohol and drug treatment. It provides a 26-week long term alcohol and drug abuse group as well as a 12-week educational session. The Institute of Life and Health also offers both long and short term aftercare programs and DWI/DUI education programs.
