Psychotherapy helps clients change in a way that is purposeful and functional. The most common form of psychotherapy is direct, personal talk therapy.

No single treatment is appropriate for all. The best treatment programs provide a combination of therapies and other services to meet the needs of each patient.

Body centered and non-traditional therapies help to facilitate our body’s innate capacity to heal and mobilize inner resources.

Northwest Counseling and Wellness Center is Austin’s preeminent integrative health center specializing in drug and alcohol treatment and therapy for anxiety and depression. We provide a continuum of outpatient services and programs that integrate a variety of conventional counseling and psychotherapy with ancient eastern approaches to help you get well and stay well. Change is an inside job and you know more than you know you know. Our services help mobilize inner capacities of insight, wisdom, and function – providing truly holistic care and an individualized approach to healing.

CARF International has announced that Northwest Counseling and Wellness Center has been accredited for a period of three years for its outpatient mental health and substance abuse programming. This is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows substantial conformance to CARF standards. CARF International (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an independent, nonprofit, accrediting body whose mission is to “promote quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served.” For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.
