Founded in 1991, First Step Counseling is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) to provide intensive and supportive adult outpatient substance abuse treatment. Since its inception, FIRST STEP COUNSELING has provided services to over 20,000 individuals in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

First Step Counseling has a dedicated staff of  Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors with nearly 200 years of combined experience in helping individuals and families with the process of recovery.

FSC provides intensive and supportive outpatient treatment based on the clients' needs.

Group sessions are offered weekdays in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturday morning.

Individual sessions by appointment only.

First Step offers services on a sliding scale based on the client’s ability to pay.

By appointment only in Oak Cliff, North Dallas, and Plano locations

Spanish by appointment only in Oak Cliff

Oak Cliff: Mon 10am, 1pm, 3pm/p

North Dallas: Mon 2pm

Plano: Mon at 12 noon

First Step Counseling is committed to providing chemical dependency counseling and education to all who are struggling with addiction. We currently provide treatment services in behalf of the following referral sources:
